Shopping in the Middle East:

Since people came to the Middle East for business, cities grew fast and the big malls followed. One of the best cities to shop in this region is Dubai (UAE). The last couple of years this city evolved to one of the leading world capitals. Many international companies settled in Dubai, which attracted more and more (foreign) people. Since the standard of living is very high in this city, it soon attracted mainly the rich and famous. Smart businessmen reacted to this and started to transform Dubai in one big heaven of luxury. Nowadays you can find the best hotels and shopping malls in this great Middle Eastern city.

In other parts of the Middle East cities are less evolved. For this reason you will not find that many shopping malls in these cities. Shopping in these cities is mostly focussed around small shops, where locals are buying only the product they need for their day-to-day living. Don't look weird if you'll even come accros some genuine trading (like 10 sheep for 1 generator).
